Every life is unique.
Its farewell
should be, too.

Saying goodbye also means remembering. Listening, gathering memories and finding the words for a calm, personal and meaningful ceremony.

Bibiana Schönhöfer · Farewells

Listening is
where it all begins.

For four years I have worked as a non-religious funeral celebrant, bringing the skills I learned through acting into a completely human setting. Here, technique becomes presence, sensitivity and truth.

I connect naturally with people. Even in brief meetings, the bond with a family can be genuine. From that connection come personal, meaningful ceremonies, shaped around each story and each farewell.

I know how to be present in silence, in quiet emotion and in finding the right words. To accompany without intruding. To communicate with respect, care and warmth.

A place for words

A career shaped by experience and sensitivity.

More than 1,500 farewells accompanied.

More than four years of professional experience accompanying families and over 1,500 farewell ceremonies have allowed me to develop an approach based on listening, sensitivity and respect for every story.

A very important part of my career has taken place at Àltima funeral homes, especially Ronda de Dalt, Sant Andreu, Terrassa and Sant Just Desvern. I have also conducted ceremonies at other funeral centres, including the Badalona Funeral Home, the Litoral Funeral Home and Crematorium in Sant Adrià de Besòs, the Montgat Funeral Home, the Sabadell Funeral Home (Torra) and the Cornellà de Llobregat Funeral Home and Crematorium (Servisa).

This experience has given me a close understanding of how funeral services work and allowed me to work both alongside different companies in the sector and independently, adapting to each family’s needs and the particular circumstances of each farewell.

A way to say goodbye for every family

A funeral or farewell at a funeral home

Before burial or cremation. I meet the family, listen to who the person was, gather memories, write a personal ceremony and lead it.

Another place or another day

For a gentler moment of remembrance after burial or cremation, indoors or outdoors in a place with special meaning.

A mixed ceremony

A non-religious ceremony that can include a prayer, reading, piece of music or religious symbol, respecting your family’s beliefs.

A tribute after cremation

With or without the urn, bringing the family together to remember after the most immediate days have passed.

A few words of farewell

A shorter tribute, poem or personal text at a crematorium, cemetery or another setting.

A later memorial

For an anniversary, a significant date, a family gathering or whenever you feel the need to remember together again.

An ashes ceremony

An intimate gathering around the urn, to scatter, bury or keep the ashes in your chosen place, with words, silence and meaningful gestures.

Step by step,
by your side.

01

Listening to a life

Before thinking about words, I listen to the family.

I discover the person through those who loved them.

A phrase, a habit, a passion, a way of caring or laughing. Small details make a person recognisable.

02

Finding the words

I create a unique ceremony, without standard texts that could belong to any life.

You can add, correct or adjust anything you need.

03

Accompanying the farewell

I guide the ceremony with calm, respect, warmth and presence.

Testimonials · Shared stories

MIL GRACIAS.”
“Didn’t get a chance to thank you, but I wanted to thank you for doing a terrific job at short notice. It was a good send off for my mother. Thanks so much, Charles.”
“Gracias Bibiana.
Moltes i moltes gràcies!!!

A few questions,
answered gently.

What is a secular funeral?

A ceremony centred on someone’s life, personality, relationships and legacy, rather than religion. It can be simple or include music, readings, poems, photographs and contributions from family and friends.

Who writes the ceremony?

I do, using what the family shares and our conversations beforehand. I do not use standard texts.

Does the family have to speak?

Only if you wish. You can take part as much as you like, read a few words, have several people contribute or leave the entire ceremony in my hands.

Can religious elements be included?

Yes, as can music, poems and photographs. Spiritual or religious elements can be included if your family wishes and they feel right for the ceremony.

Do you work with funeral directors?

Yes. I have experience working alongside funeral providers and as an independent professional.

Where do you work?

Mainly Barcelona and Catalonia, and also the Balearic Islands, with a special connection to Menorca. Other travel can be discussed.
